Please note, however, that you will be required to reset your MyUFV password today (Wed. Feb. 25th at noon), and that you will not be able to log in to our databases from off campus until that change has taken effect.
If you experience any problems accessing our databases, electronic journals and books, or other services, be sure to contact us.

Recording of presentation: Using Evidence-Based Medicine Reviews

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

A recording of the presentation: Using Evidence-Based Medicine Reviews is now available.
Here is the link:
Please note! The audio portion of the recording is complete. However, the software records it in “chunks”, meaning that it sometimes sounds as if the sound has been cut off. There is a slight pause between the chunks, but the audio starts up at exactly the same place as it stopped.
During the presentation, a question was asked about the hw search field. Please see the extended entry below for the answer.
Also, as requested, here is a copy of my presentation notes, including summaries of each database and when to use them, and sample searches. It is an rtf file, and therefore should be compatible with any word processor.
